Happy Birthday, PHGP, etc.

Happy belated birthday to Joey, who turned 13 two days ago!! Hope he had a fantastic day.

In other news, Adie and Joey were supporting Billie Joe at the recent Pinhead Gunpowder shows in Cali. Pictures coming soon.

I'm working on a new layout but it's not getting very far as I'm so busy.

Happy New Year =)

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a fab Christmas and got everything you wanted. =)

First update of 2008, and also the first update in a while. The reasons behind this place being dead... 1. There's been no news 2. I 've been wicked busy and stressed, what with school, Christmas and life in general really...

So, hopefully we'll get some updates/pictures soon, it's lonely without any news. =( In the meantime, I'm working on a new layout and banners for the site, so expect a fresh new colour scheme etc some time in the new year. There will soon be a gallery update too, so keep checking back.

Atomic Garden

Adie has recently joined with Jamie Kidson (designer and shop owner) and opened a store in Oakland, called Atomic Garden. It's an environmentally friendly home and clothes store, and they have some cute stuff. You can check it out here.

It's located at 5453 College Avenue in Oakland, and is open 11 a.m-  6 p.m Mondays- Saturday and 12pm - 5 p.m Sundays. So if you're in the area check it out, you could bump into Adie there!!

There's a picture of Adie with Vicky Howell here and you can see some pictures of them at a Habitat for Humanity build here.

She also did a podcast about the store, Habitat for Humanity, knitting, and life in general. You can listen to it here and download it here. (Thanks to arohex for the download link).

The pics will be up in the gallery soon.

Site news, the header isn't showing up for me and I still have no idea why. So, it will be like that until it gets over itself, as I don't have a clue what's up with it.

Images

For some reason Bravenet has decided to removed the headers for the main site and the news section. They're showing up in the admin control thingy, but not on the main site, so I can't attempt to fix it. Let's hope it's just a little glitch with bravehost and they get it fixed.

The gallery is partly uploaded, but some of it is (presumably) waiting to be scanned by the host, so if you come across an Adrienne gallery that looks like it has been dragged through a hedge backwards then rest assured that it's this one. Look out for it sometime very soon.

NRDC

Billie Joe sent out a new NRDC Email:

"Toyota wants everyone to think they are green -- but behind the
scenes, they are working against progress.
More than a million people bought a Prius hybrid from Toyota
because they want to do the right thing for our planet. Hybrid
cars are great because they can go many more miles on a gallon
of gas than a regular car can, so they put out less of the
pollution that is causing global warming.
Right now, Congress is working on a bill that could get car
companies to manufacture cars that are more like the Prius, cars
that can go an average of at least 35 miles on every gallon of
gas. This would be the first improvement in U.S. fuel economy
standards in almost 20 years, and it would save America 1.2
million barrels of oil every day. That is more oil than we
import from Saudi Arabia.
But now Toyota is copping out. It's hard to believe, but the
company that makes the Prius and other super-efficient hybrids
is trying to stop Congress from taking the strongest possible
action to make cars more efficient.
Go to
http://www.nrdconline.org/campaign/greenday_globalwarming_toyota
and tell Toyota to stop lobbying against the 35 miles per gallon
by 2020 standard!
The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers -- the powerful
lobbying group that Toyota is an active member of -- is saying
the goal of making cars by 2020 that get an average of 35 miles
per gallon is "unattainable." That makes no sense, since Toyota
is making the Prius, which gets almost 50 miles per gallon,
right now!
Toyota advertises itself as the greenest car company. That
company needs to walk the walk. Go to
http://www.nrdconline.org/campaign/greenday_globalwarming_toyota
now. Tell Toyota to stop fighting progress and start fighting
global warming!
Thanks for taking action to reduce America's dangerous
dependence on oil."

And speaking of NRDC, I've put up a new page all about Adie's work with them, so go check that out.

The gallery is finally finished, so I will post the link to that very soon.

Affilates & Gallery Update

Not very much is going on in Adie-world at the moment.

If you want to be affilated with us, please comment this post with a link to your (Adrienne/Green Day related) site.

The Gallery is finished, it is just waiting to be uploaded. The thought of going into all the FTP makes me cringe but I guess I will have to, so it will be up soon.

Media Update.

  • Mood:
  • Music: Denis- Blondie

Hi everyone!

You'll be pleased to know the media section is now up and running, with a good selection of graphics and videos to download. Go check them out, and comment when you have done. Next up is the gallery, which should hopefully be done in a few week's time. Maybe we'll get some Adie news to pass the time until then?

Let the site update commence

Soooo, ignore all the mindless babble below, that was just me exercising my frustration at bravenet as usual. Time for the real updates now, hopefully in a much clearer frame than the previous bit.

1. This is the new "News" page, simply because it is easier for me to update than the old one. It's a blog, so instead of me having to go into the directory and find the right page then update it with all the HTML blah de blah, it's now much easier and also people can leave comments, which is great. Comments are so send them my way.  Also, when I've got the time I will make a new layout and banner to brighten this page up.

2. After a little problem with the gallery earlier, I've managed to sort out the basics of what will (hopefully) be the ultimate resource for Adie Pictures. It's not up yet, as I have to sort out all the images, categories and what not, but now when I say I'm working on it, I really am working on it, and thanks to the super easy FTP helper from the site, it should be up double quick.

3. Graphics for the site are completely finished and linked, so once I've finished getting the vids sorted, the media section will be good to go.
